Our story
From a childhood memory to Main Street
Sunju Lee grew up in Muskoka, a long-time Port Sydney resident born in Korea, and went on to study at the University of Toronto. The idea started with a memory: her father coming home with a box of Korean fried chicken, and the whole family gathering around it. She never forgot it, and she wanted to bring that feeling — the food, and the culture around it — home to Muskoka.
When the old Tim Hortons building on Huntsville's main strip came available, she knew it was time. She brought in her cousin, Chef Yangmo Kim from Toronto, and Gangnam Korea opened its doors.
